Australian Visa Options for Participants

Thank you for contacting the International Event Coordinator Network (IECN) of the Department of Home Affair and registering the Christ Apostolic Church Praise Centre- International Youth Conference and Summit 2018. The participants for the event may be eligible for the following visa options:
Please see the attached information below regarding visa options to assist you in managing, or overseeing, visa arrangements for those wishing to attend your event in Australia.

The International Youth Conference and Summit 2018
Visa applications:
Under Australia's universal visa system, all visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia (other than New Zealand passport holders who will normally be granted a Special Category visa on arrival, provided they meet health and character requirements; and permanent residents of Norfolk Island who may be granted a Permanent Resident of Norfolk Island visa on arrival). There are many visa options available to people wishing to visit Australia. The appropriate visa option will depend, amongst other things, on the person's purpose for visiting Australia. Please refer to the attached Religious and Cultural Events Information Sheet for guidance on the visa options that may be most suitable for your event participants. Your event participants should also refer to the attached document containing General Information for Visa Applicants.
NB: These are the visa options available presently but the Department reserves the right to change regulations. IECN assistance will NOT guarantee a visa grant. Visa applicants must demonstrate that they meet all the legislative requirements for an Australian visa.

- For participants and attendees that will not be working, performing or otherwise be paid to contribute at the event:

- For participants and attendees, including speakers, presenters , religious ministers or other contributors that have been invited to participate in an event by an Australian organization:

- Please note that a the letter of support from an Australian organization is a legislative requirement for the Temporary Activity (subclass 408)(Invited Participant) visa.

What you can do for event participants:
- Provide participants with a copy of the attached Religious and Cultural Events Information Sheet to ensure that they apply for the correct visa.
- Provide participants with a copy of the attached General Information for Visa Applicants to ensure that they are aware of visa requirements before they lodge their visa applications.
- Provide invited participants with a letter of invitation to participate in the event. Letters of invitation should only be issued to event participants who are known to, and invited by, you.
- Provide confirmation of registration to event attendees, if applicable. Confirmation of registration should only be issued to event participants who have registered to attend the event and have paid their registration fees, in full.
- Request event participants apply for their visa well in advance of their intended date of travel to Australia.
